Machine Overview
A shot blasting machine is a versatile piece of equipment used to clean various steel structures like welded parts, H beams, steel sections, frameworks, and plates. It’s designed to remove impurities such as rust, scale, and old paint, preparing the surface for new coatings. The machine operates by hurling small steel shots at high speeds in a controlled environment, thoroughly cleaning the steel surfaces.
The key components of a shot blasting machine include:
Core Parameters
Max size of workpiece: 2000*1200mm Roller conveyor load: ≥1 t/m
Roller conveyor speed: 0.5 ~4 m/min Total air volume: 18000m³/h Total power: 130 KW
Shot Blasting Process
During the cleaning process, steel structures are placed on a conveyor system, which moves them through the machine. Inside, they are subjected to a barrage of steel shots fired from various angles. This intense action strips away oxidation, rust, and debris, leaving the steel with a smooth surface that’s ready for finishing. The roughened texture also enhances the adhesion of paint, improving the overall quality of the steel and extending its lifespan.
The machine features a cleaning chamber where the steel is processed. Adjacent to this chamber are roller conveyors for loading and unloading the workpieces. As the steel is cleaned, any dislodged particles and dust are blown off by a dedicated device. These materials are then collected by a spiral conveyor and transported to a hopper. From there, they move through screw conveyors to an elevator, which lifts them to a separator. After separation, the clean shots are recycled back into the system, while the dust is removed through a filtration system. This ensures that the air released into the atmosphere is clean and pollution-free, maintaining environmental standards.

Advantages
01 Durable and Long-Lasting
The main chamber is 8 meters long and well-sealed.
The main chamber is equipped with high manganese steel (Mn13) wear-resistant guard plates to protect the chamber wall plate from abrasion and extend the service life of the chamber by more than 10 times.
Wear-resistant nuts are used to cover and bolt on the guard plate inside the blast chamber to protect the head of the bolt from damage.
02 National Standard Emissions, Saving Equipment Costs
The optional shot blasting machine’s foundationless design saves about 14,000$ in construction costs. It features efficient dust removal with a capacity of 23,000m³/h at both entry and exit points, reducing both pollution and environmental equipment costs.
The dust collector employed in this shot blasting machine is a downward flow cartridge dust collection system renowned for its high efficiency in dust removal. It complies with the national GBJ4 industrial emission standards, ensuring that the concentration of dust emissions remains below 120mg/m³. This allows for the direct release of filtered air into the atmosphere, bypassing the need for additional purification equipment and thus reducing costs.
03 Optimized Performance and Superior Results
The main chamber of the machine is strategically equipped with eight shot blasting units positioned above, below, and around the chamber. This spatial arrangement has been rigorously tested and proven in practice to provide optimal cleaning coverage. It effectively removes oxides, rust, and other surface contaminants from workpieces, alleviates surface stress, enhances fatigue resistance, and promotes better adhesion for paint applications.
The machine features three strip curtains equipped with air blowers that stabilize the steel shots during operation, minimizing deviations and ensuring consistent blasting.
Utilizing the bouncy properties of the shots, the machine efficiently strikes the surface of workpieces, improving both the quality and speed of cleaning. It achieves a rust removal level of GB8923-88 A-B Sa2.5 (locally achieving Sa2.0), with a conveyance speed of up to 4 meters per minute.
